My Process
Research
During the initial design phase of a project, my focus goes into scoping and understanding any requirements and constraints. In parallel, I plan and lead new user research or identify gaps in existing research that need to be filled. Once the research is concluded, I guide the team on synthesizing the findings to identify opportunities and map out insights to prepare for ideation.
Concept
To kick off ideation, I craft a point of view based on the user needs identified during research. I collaborate with cross-functional teams to frame a clear problem statement and goals to provide a shared understanding of what needs to be achieved during ideation. I then select the ideation framework that best fits the defined goals, from single sessions to 5-Day design sprints.
Design
Once ideation is complete, and the ideas that best align with the project goals are selected, it’s time to prototype and test. I evaluate different tools and techniques to keep prototypes low effort while including all the functionality needed to validate ideas and assumptions. Prototypes are tested and iterated so ideas can evolve quickly until the final product is fully defined.
About me
I’m a digital product designer, team leader, and design thinking enthusiast. I see ambiguity as opportunity, and constraints as a means for creative problem-solving. My innate curiosity and passion for human-centric design drive my need to understand audiences and shape products to help them achieve their goals. I’m passionate about growing diverse, open-minded, collaborative teams, and applying design thinking methods to lead them from abstraction to clarity.
